Although Francis received his Bachelors in Science with Honors in Industrial Engineer from the University of Florida with a minor in Statistic and Business Administration, his true passion has always been architecture and construction. This caught the interest of a Miami developer and contractor for whom Francis worked with to build and develop over 250,000 square feet in projects ranging from industrial flex warehouses and office parks to new high-end single family homes. Working at this boutique firm allowed him to gain first hand experience in every stage of various types of real estate's development process including property selection, due diligence, design and feasibility analysis, value engineering, conflict resolution, entitlement and permitting, construction management, property management, and property sale and leasing.

Interested in understanding the finer details involved in high end home building, Francis pursued an opportunity to work with a well known luxury home builder during which time he oversaw the construction of an apartment residence at the Four Seasons and two other large luxury homes in Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, respectively.

With over a decade of experience, a keen ability to simplify what can be an overwhelming process of building a home or a commercial project, and enough pressure from family, friends, subcontractors, and even municipal inspectors, Francis decided to pursue his dream and open Illuzzi Construction, LLC. He is delighted to be intricately involved with all aspects of each project, from design through completion.

Francis is also a licensed residential and commercial Real Estate Broker and is knowledgeable in sustainable and green construction methods as a LEED AP.
